I’m a firm believer in getting value for money, particularly where cosmetics are concerned. I hate nothing more than forking out a fortune for a foundation and then finding out that it’s an epic fail!
That’s why I find the Nyx range so incredible! This cruelty-free brand is great because the price points are reasonable and the standard of product you’re receiving is A1!
The HD foundation is formulated from photogenic synthesis which allows the skin to reflect light to make skin appear smooth and pores appear reduced. The formula also contains tripeptides which promote collagen, reduce wrinkles and rejuvenate skin when infused. This definitely works and my skin looks better without any makeup due to the water based formula as well.
This is a long-lasting foundation, although it can get a bit shiny after a while if you’re not using a powder. If you have blemish prone skin, I would definitely recommend the Nyx Concealer Jar.
This creamy concealer is the perfect cover up and will rid you of any imperfections, allowing you a clear base to start with.
Base complete! Now for the eyes…
The Tame & Frame eyebrow pot is a perfect dupe for Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade but costs less. I like the shades this comes in and it’s super easy to work with.
Now to the lashes! The Badunkadunk mascara is perfect if you like to add buildable volume and length to your lashes. I’m notoriously fussy about my eyelashes, have been since I was twelve and have gone through about a million mascaras at this point. This gem is one of my favourites and it costs a fraction of the price of some of my other reliables. *Flutter, flutter.* You will need to clean the brush often however and you’ll have to comb through your lashes between coatings to avoid the overall effect being clumpy.
Finally, life’s nothing unless you wing it! The Epic Ink Liner’s slender and supple brush tip allows you to line your eyes just how you like them. Fine and natural or broad and bold, it’s no problem with this liner.
I’m pleasantly surprised by this brand and genuinely adore all of the products I’ve tried. The base products in particular.
What are your favourite Nyx products? I’d love to hear about them! Let me know in the comments.
