Just checking in on my WordPress page. How are you guys? It’s been a while.
I’ve been busy trying to find a job, and creating a portfolio for make-up. I am lucky to be a mum to my two beautiful bundles (who have gotten soooooo big that my heart kind of aches a little), but I always wanted a really great career in the media/editorial side of things. So, now is as good a time as any, I guess. If you never try, you’ll never know…
That being said, I have invested in some great budget beauty products:
Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser €10.99
I need a really great primer for my skin, but nothing that clogs my skin too much. This one from Maybelline is good.
Pros: It’s lightweight formula minimizes pores, making it a nice base for make-up to glide on to.
Cons: It’s not very long lasting on oily skin though. Use a good bit of setting powder, or invest in the amazing Smashbox Photo Finish Primer instead – well worth it!
Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation, €11.99
Airbrush make up, which leaves the skin soft with a flawless finish.
Pros: Feels nice on the skin, and there’s a good selection of shades for a very low price tag.
Cons: The coverage isn’t as buildable as I had hoped. It also wears off oily skin quite easily and definitely requires a setting powder.
Rimmel Lasting Finish Mono Blush Live Pink, €5.49
This has great colour pay off and is a gorgeous rose gold colour. A lovely product to work with.
Seventeen Define and Contour Kit, €7.59
This is excellent! I would highly, highly recommend. It comes in two shades- fair and medium, and really delivers a sculpted finish.
Seventeen Instant Glow Shimmer Brick, €6.29
The best low budget dupe of the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick that I’ve ever used! This gives stunning, shimmery colour pay off.
I got the Pink Bronze to create a pretty, soft cheek on a pale face. This is also available in Gold Bronze, which would be gorgeous on all you bronzed goddesses on your summer hols. The countdown to summer is officially on!
Have you guys found any gems of beauty buys lately?
