Super Strollers

Are any of you guys in the market for a new stroller? Yes? Well, I’m in the same boat.

We have had the Graco Mirage Travel System and the Graco Stadium Duo tandem buggy for the last 15 months, purely because the Graco travel system Group 0+ car seat fit interchangeably in both. They have served us well, and were easy on our purse strings.

Thankfully, we have come to the stage where we only need a buggy for our littlest (although, we’ll be attaching a buggy board, just in case). We are going to step away from the boring, black strollers, and get something really bright and fun; and boyish and colourful, that has tons of attitude and heaps of personality. Here are some that have made the final cut:

1) Cosatto Yo! Pushchair,  €340

I am in love with the Yo! Pow! Pushchair. This Batman-esque buggy is so playful and boyish. I REALLY want this because it is so freaking cool. This wonder buggy offers a lie flat option for newborns, has lockable front swivel wheels and features a footmuff with reversible liner to suit either wintery weather or summer sunshine. It has a padded 5 point harness, a headhugger, a raincover (which comes with its own storage bag) and a trendy changing bag that is sure to get you noticed. I need this in my life.

I also adore the Yo! All Star, currently retailing at €259.99 on

2) Cosatto Supa Pushchair, €249.99

According to Cosatto, “Supa is the pushchair all other pushchairs want to be when they grow up.” And I’d believe it!

The design features a ‘gadget pocket plus speaker, tablet PC displayer for learning on the go, newborn lie-flat, handy one-handed recline, easy-clean pop-off seat unit, adjustable handles and leg rest, extendable sunshade, 4 way any-weather footmuff, snug accessories, free-standing fold-upright storage option and tons more.’ Speaks volumes.

I think this ‘super’ stroller has a lot of great features for an urban mama, the vibrant designs for one. The handy thing about this buggy is that it’s not quite as pricey as the Yo!, but is still every inch as edgy. I am crushing on the Cuddle Monster, which is currently on sale in your local Mothercare for €219.99. Sale ends Sunday.

3) Baby K Nanu + Stroller, Mothercare, €99.99

This lightweight stroller has plenty of attitude, and is kinder to your pocket than the previous strollers mentioned. I love the reversible star liner and the neon yellow and black and white star print fabrics. I also like that there is a Weathershield included, and that the hood is detachable.

There aren’t quite so many accessories included with this one, but you can always deck it out with some handy accessories from the fantastic Mgo range. Such a great idea for a stylish mommy to customize her dream buggy.

The Nanu buggy comes in a variety of other designs, which retail at €69.99 each. Sale ends Sunday!

4) The Mamas and Papas Swirl Pushchair Package from Argos, is a steal at €114.99. This one comes in either pink or blue.

This smooth stroller comes has some lovely features, such as bump proof front wheel suspension. It also comes with several extras such as: a detachable hood, a parasol, a raincover,  a change bag, a small toy and a gorgeous 2-in-1 star print liner/footmuff, which is sure to keep your little one comfy in any weather. A whole lot of buggy for a very little price.

5) Pop Stroller by Silver Cross,, €199.00 (Available May)

This ‘smart buggy’ from renowned brand Silver Cross will perform well at any time, but really makes for an ideal summer buggy. It features a fully extendable hood for sun protection, The hood features a zip away lining which has a UPF 50+, which makes this a dream buggy for the sunshine. The classic design also has a taller seat to cater for growing boys and girls, has a roomier seat and is suitable for children up to 25kg, which you’ll be hard pressed to find in your average buggy. And, I think the Ecru colour is sooooo suave and sophisticated. I cannot wait for a demo!

I hope you love these buggies as much as I do, and that those of you on a quest for a perfect pushchair have been inspired. What great strollers would you recommend?
